Lloydminster Snowboard Club: CLUB RULES Helmet Required

RULE # 1 - HELMETS ARE MANDATORY – ALL MEMBERS & CHAPERONES- ALL GUESTS
NO HELMET- NO BOARDING – NO EXCEPTIONS !

In the event that a boarder is found not wearing his/her helmet, the boarder will be required to sit out the rest of the day with the chaperones. The boarder will then be suspended from attending one scheduled snowboarding day (i.e. the following Saturday). The boarder and the boarder’s parents will be required to sign a document stating that the boarder will no longer violate the club’s helmet rule. Upon receipt of this document, the boarder will then be allowed to attend club events. A second helmet infraction will result in the member’s expulsion from the club with no refund of fees. Each member is responsible for the care and welfare of their equipment, both on the bus, and at the Hill.
Parents please make sure helmets are in good condition. One hard blow can seriously damage a helmet.

ANY - Use of Alcohol or Illicit Drugs, etc. during any club function will result in immediate expulsion from the club with absolutely no refunds!

  • Age of members is 13 as of December 31, Beginning Year of Membership.
  • Past members have priority on returning to the club next year.

Car RailViolations of the rules may result in a written warning to the parents & member on the first offense and a suspension from the club for further infractions.

  • No Swearing.
  • No Horseplay or Inappropriate behavior on Bus or Van. NOTE: Damage to the bus or van will be expensed to the member’s parents
  • No Inappropriate behavior at Table Mountain or other club functions/trips.
  • No Harassment or Bullying of other members will be tolerated.

Bookings to reserve seat on bus:

Members must reserve their seat on the bus each week by booking it via the web site, www.vertical-drop.net before 6:00pm or by telephone before 8:00pm Thursday night prior to each weekend. If you do not book your seat it can and may be booked by someone else for his or her guest. If you’re not on the list you may lose your ride.

Bus boarding, (Lloydminster & Table Mountain):

  • The bus leaves the Barr Colony Museum parking lot at 7:30 am sharp (Lloydminster Time) and returns about 5:00 pm (Lloydminster Time). It is the member’s responsibility to be on time.
  • Members who ride bus to Table Mountain must return the same way, unless there is prior written consent or one-on-one verbal consent from parent or guardian ONLY!!! with an executive member or chaperone.
  • Members board bus/van at Table for return trip beginning @ 3:30 pm (Lloydminster Time). Lateness for return trip will result in 1 (first) warning then suspension from the bus/van for two weeks for each following infractions.

Refund Policy:

Registration Night - Two (2) week grace period for full refund. Mid October to November - Non-Refundable $50.00 fee plus Saskatchewan Snowboard Association (SSA) fee plus Table Mountain Pass (TBP) fee. December 1 - January 1 - $150.00 fee plus SSA fee plus TBP fee. January 1 to end of Season - no refunds.

Guest & Family Rides:

  • Guest must be of club age (13-18 years of age)
  • Cost is $30.00 per trip payable before boarding bus or won’t be permitted to go. Note: $30.00 fee is for bus ride only.
  • Member/Guest/Parent must pick-up, completely fill out and turn in Guest Form before boarding bus or will not be permitted to go.
  • Guest to adhere to club rules or will be removed from hill and not permitted to come again.
  • Club Member / Parents will be held responsible for Guest and could be asked to come pick up at Table Mountain due to violation of rules.
  • Guests are not permitted to take part in or interfere with Lessons.
  • Guests are responsible for the care and welfare of their equipment, both on the bus and at the Hill.

Chaperones are to fill out an Injury/Incident Report, outlining any infraction of the rules, and action taken on the date of Incident.

Executive members on occasion must make decisions that are not specifically outlined in the rules. Courtesy and respect of executive members and their decisions are expected.
